Steven also won the Firm’s John Wilson Award, which recognizes attorneys who have consistently upheld a commitment to pursue excellence in the practice of law while serving the community and who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to pro bono clients and handled significant responsibility on pro bono matters.
Steven has undertaken numerous pro bono cases. He has represented pro bono clients in conservatorship and domestic violence restraining order cases, litigated on behalf of non-profit environmental organizations to protect land designated for conservation, and sued law enforcement for racist policing in partnership with the ACLU of Louisiana.
